In our age, the noise and bombardment of images can submerge true image, and we can loose focus on authentic beauty and the hand of our God who paints us into a grand story.
In these times it is good to re-polarize ourselves by gazing in adoration at a holy image — or if you can in the course of your day, even for a few minutes, at the face of Christ himself in the Blessed Sacrament.
All the created universe contains a great potential. Each image, each form of art and media has a potency to build us up in a relationship with Love itself, with Christ who is love. We were created for an incarnate universe. But when images take us away from authentic relationships they are indeed anti-images, anti-medias, and little anti-Christs.
