The Knights’ Thanksgiving

Print Friendly

The Knights had a blessed Thanksgiving. We were joined by our family and friends, which included Br. Michael’s family and three of our priest friends from Atlanta and Springfield/Cape Girardeau, MO. Br. Michael’s family helped cook Thanksgiving dinner and their efforts turned out to be quite the feast! After dinner some of us went for a leisurely walk and horseback ride down to the river which surrounds the Shrine property. On this day when we give thanks for all that the Lord has done for us during the year, we also called to mind the Eucharist (this word in Greek means “thanksgiving”!)—Christ’s Body, Blood, Soul, and Divinity. May Our Eucharistic Lord grant us the grace of always giving thanks for all that He bestows on us!
